About the Quiz
The Coastal Kids Quiz is an environmental quiz competition for teams of fifth graders in Baldwin and Mobile Counties. This spring will mark the tenth anniversary of the event. Questions are taken from two CD-ROMs produced by the Project CATE Foundation: Ribbit’s Big Splash and Skeeter’s Wild Adventure. Questions are also taken from standard science texts and materials provided by ACF, including brochures and activity books covering coastal environmental issues. Winning teams receive scholarship bonds and their teacher sponsor receives funds for conservation activities in the classroom.
