Mobile Bay Estuary Corps

The Mobile Bay Estuary Corps is a hands-on summer educational program that engages middle school students in activities that explore and improve the Mobile Bay Estuarine system. The 2024 Estuary Corps Summer program took place from June 20-22, and we will open registration for the 2025 program in March!

This program, which is a collaboration between the Alabama Coastal Foundation and the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, is for middle school students who are interested in biological and environmental sciences. It provides opportunities for students to work with professionals from different businesses and organizations throughout the area.

Please view the following career awareness videos for middle school students and encourage others to do the same so they can explore their future options:

Since 1993, the Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF) has worked to promote a culture where environmental decisions are based on an accurate understanding of the underlying science, the dissemination of factual information, and the engagement of government, industry, and citizens to find solutions to our coastal challenges. We bring that vision into reality through our inclusive environmental stewardship approach.
